From the February Newsletter

Director’s Message

The effects of drug and alcohol abuse are far reaching; destroying relationships and families.

Wives, daughters, mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, nieces, and other women close to men in addiction are just a few of the unspoken victims.

Renewal Ranch is helping to redirect and restore broken lives and relationships through the Saving Grace of Jesus Christ.

In an effort to provide an opportunity for even more men to overcome their addictions, we are seeking 100 women to raise $1000 each in 100 days (April 2-July 10) to fund the construction of a new bunkhouse called the “Faith House.”

It is our hope that it will stand as a reminder to the residents that there are many “women of faith” believing that they each will become great men of God.

This fundraising effort can be done as a group project or on an individual basis.

At the end of the 100 days, a prayer service and groundbreaking service will be scheduled so that all of the Circle of 100 women may join in prayer for the men who will one day call the “Faith House” home during their recovery at Renewal Ranch.

A commemorating plaque with the name of each participant is planned to be placed in the new bunkhouse.

Wendy Dooley is heading up the Circle of 100 and if you would like to participate, please contact her at wendy.dooley@yahoo.com or (501) 350-1873.

Thank you in advance for your willingness to help us help others!

Renewal Ranch hosted its First Year Anniversary Gala on Saturday, Jan. 28, at Family Life Bible Church in Conway.
The event was held in celebration of Renewal Ranch’s first year of operation. The faith based drug and alcohol rehabilitation program opened its doors on Jan. 30, 2011. Throughout Renewal Ranch’s first year, it is estimated that the program has dramatically made an impact on over 300 people while graduating 10 men from the six month intensive study program.
The evening began with a dinner prepared by Chef Don Bingham. The ceremony that followed honored the Ranch’s board of directors, leadership team, teachers, supporters, volunteers, current residents, graduates and their families. Various representatives from each of these groups spoke to the 125 special guests in attendance. One of the highlights of the night was the Arkansas Senate Citation recognizing Renewal Ranch’s achievements over the past year presented by Senator Jason Rapert.
Renewal Ranch is located just outside Conway, and is a 501c 3 non-profit organization. Through this program residents receive counseling, Bible study and opportunities to serve others through community work projects. They also receive the education, vocational training and life skills training they need to become productive, contributing members of their families and communities.
