A Message From the Director-May

George Mueller ‘Be Assured, If you walk with Him and look to Him, and expect help from Him, He will never Fail You.’

We all need to be lifted up and encouraged at times and the Bible is a great source for encouragement.

Strength Quotes For Encouragement

Deuteronomy 31:6  Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.

Isaiah 41:10  Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

A Message From the Director-April

THE ARMOR OF GOD EPHESIANS 6 VS. 10-20

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the devil's schemes.

For we do not wrestle with flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything to STAND.

STAND firm then, with your belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

Take up the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the spirit in all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.

With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel for which I am an ambassador in chains.

Pray that I might declare it fearlessly, as I should."

WILL YOU STAND WITH US IN THIS FRONT LINE BATTLE FOR THE SOULS OF OUR CURRENT RESIDENTS AND THOSE STILL LOST AND IN BONDAGE?

From the February Newsletter

Director’s Message

The effects of drug and alcohol abuse are far reaching; destroying relationships and families.

Wives, daughters, mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, nieces, and other women close to men in addiction are just a few of the unspoken victims.

Renewal Ranch is helping to redirect and restore broken lives and relationships through the Saving Grace of Jesus Christ.

In an effort to provide an opportunity for even more men to overcome their addictions, we are seeking 100 women to raise $1000 each in 100 days (April 2-July 10) to fund the construction of a new bunkhouse called the “Faith House.”

It is our hope that it will stand as a reminder to the residents that there are many “women of faith” believing that they each will become great men of God.

This fundraising effort can be done as a group project or on an individual basis.

At the end of the 100 days, a prayer service and groundbreaking service will be scheduled so that all of the Circle of 100 women may join in prayer for the men who will one day call the “Faith House” home during their recovery at Renewal Ranch.

A commemorating plaque with the name of each participant is planned to be placed in the new bunkhouse.

Wendy Dooley is heading up the Circle of 100 and if you would like to participate, please contact her at wendy.dooley@yahoo.com or (501) 350-1873.

Thank you in advance for your willingness to help us help others!

Baptisms of Thomas and Matt

Last night Central Baptist Church hosted the men of Renewal Ranch for a glorious baptismal and testimonial service.  We heard the testimonies of Thomas Foster and Matt Clark and our hearts were truly blessed.

The faithful Dooley family led us in worship as we gloried in the salvation of these two precious men who have given their lives to Christ.

One of our newest residents, Carey Jones, sang a beautiful solo entitled I Will Rise.

I Will Rise – Chris Tomlin
There’s a peace I’ve come to know
Though my heart and flesh may fail
There’s an anchor for my soul
I can say “It is well”
Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead
Chorus:
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles’ wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise
There’s a day that’s drawing near
When this darkness breaks to light
And the shadows disappear
And my faith shall be my eyes
Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead
Chorus:
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles’ wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise
And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
“Worthy is the Lamb”
And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
“Worthy is the Lamb”
Chorus:
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles’ wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise
The senior pastor, Don Chandler, and the associate pastor, Mike Lefler, were honored by being presented with a certificate of appreciation from Renewal Ranch for their steadfast support, encouragement and love extended to the leaders, residents and volunteers of Renewal Ranch.
Thank you once again Central Baptist Church!

January Newsletter

Chaplain’s Corner

Like Joseph, I am a dreamer. Like Martin Luther King, “I have a dream.” I am not an addict, but I am the child of an alcoholic and the father of an addict. Through both experiences and a lifetime of study and ministry, God has “conceived” a dream inside of me.

I dream of sparing every child of an addict the fear, feelings of rejection, abandonment, and confusion that I experienced as a child.

dream of sparing every parent, sibling, or friend of an addict, the hopelessness, despair, intense disappointment, and unbearable pain that my wife and I and our other children experienced with our addict.

I dream of providing “room and board,” along with an opportunity for intense biblical discipleship, to every alcoholic or addict who desires to be set free.

I dream of seeing the hillside of Renewal Ranch covered with buildings and residents.

I dream of seeing 300-500 people at chapel each week for praise and preaching that glorifies God and transforms participants.

I dream of a Renewal Ranch “village” that provides housing and holistic training for life to Renewal Ranch graduates and their families.

I dream of seeing “Renewal Ranch” type ministries all over Arkansas, America, and Africa, as well as in the “utter most parts of the world.”

I dream of God transforming my life more fully through Christ, restoring the years the locusts have eaten, giving me a double blessing for the losses with nothing broken and nothing missing.

I dream of the same for Renewal Ranch staff, volunteers, residents, and their families. I have a dream.............  How about you?

~ Larry Pillow

An open chapel service is held at Renewal Ranch every Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m.

You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.  Romans 8:9-10

Director's Message

enewal Ranch News December 201
Both Justin Pennock and Dustin Harris graduated from Renewal Ranch in December 2011 as our 9th and 10th graduates of the year.  We wish both men and their families the very best as they transition back into society. They have solid “transition plans” in place to aid in their success.  We are grateful to Brother Johnny Harrington for working with the residents to develop a game plan prior to graduation.

On December 8th, Renewal Ranch celebrated its first year of operation at the annual Christmas reception held at the Centennial Valley Country Club Events Center.  Thank you to all who donated specifically to this event.  It was a wonderful time of fellowship and reflection of 2011 events with our supporters, residents, and their families.

The 1st Annual Renewal Ranch Parade of Homes was a huge success.  We want to thank Wendy Dooley for organizing that event and Don and Nancy Bingham, Tim and Jane Morris, and The Dooley’s whose homes were filled with love, refreshments, decorations, and the holiday spirit.   We believe this event with grow as many have already inquired about next year’s event.

Ten men have been saved and baptized this year at RR and over 35 different churches have supported us in some capacity.  Twelve pastors have invested in our residents’ lives by teaching at RR, countless volunteers have served, the Dooley’s have traveled all over with us leading praise and worship, and the Board has worked diligently to help the vision play out to reality.  We have over $5000 in monthly financial support (approximately $15,000 is needed).  My heartfelt gratitude goes to all who have helped us in any way.  We could not do this without your support!

May God Bless You this Holiday Season!
James A. Loy, Executive Director

Residents Assist The Summit Church

Chris, Robert, and Matt are in the picture above, along with Gary from The Summit.  Others who have helped are Justin, Josh, Jassen, Barry, Dustin, Antonio, Scott, and Thomas.

All of our residents at Renewal Ranch have been involved in a ministry to help Summit Church restore an older home that they bought in the Levy section of North Little Rock.  The Summit has a concentrated ministry to that area of NLR and bought the home to be used in outreach to that section of town.

Thank you guys for all the love and hard work you have exhibited the last few weeks to help restore this home.  We know your efforts will make a difference in reaching out to those in need.  We are proud of you!
